The Last Mile – New Album “Holding On To Hope” via Thousand Islands Records and Pavones Records

The Last Mile are relentless. At their core, they’re a hardcore punk band with a vicious intensity and sing-alongs that captivate audiences worldwide. With their infectious energy both on and off stage, they’ve proven time and time again that they don’t fit into boxes – too punk for the hardcore kids, too hardcore for the punks – until you see them live.

They’ve shared stages and toured with bands like Title Fight, Comeback Kid, Satanic Surfers, NOFX, Petrol Girls, Iron Chic, and La Armada. They’ve brought their anthemic punk to US and European festivals such as FEST, Obenuse, Rhinos Feroce, and Bearded Punk Fest, and they show no signs of slowing down.

Their second full-length album Holding On To Hope, out April 11th via Thousand Islands Records and Pavones Records, recorded in Vancouver with longtime collaborator Jesse Gander (Brutus, Japandroids, Daggermouth) and mastered by Jason Livermore at The Blasting Room, marks a powerful step forward.

This record builds on their heartfelt songwriting, diving into personal and political reflections with a modern hardcore edge while staying true to their punk roots. Themes range from grief and caregiving to the toxicity of nostalgia, gender inequality in music, emotional repression, and the search for meaning in chaos. Holding On To Hope is a cathartic and empowering collection of songs that remind us that music can still be a light in the dark.
